It was a joy to work with these special children and the success of the workshop would not have been achieved without the help and contributions form the staff of the school. Also we are all grateful to the Springhill Trust for funding the FunkyKids workshops in the school and for giving us the privilege and challenge of working with these children.

    • ST. Laserians Special School Carlow: We now have completed our 10 week term in our 1st ever special needs school, St.Laserians in Carlow. The workshops in the school were funded by the Springhill Trust in Carlow and they were an outstanding success. It was indeed a rewarding and challenging experience for ourselves but an experience that we wont forget for a long time. We hope we left the same impression on the children that took part in the workshops. • Jan - June '08. Our success has been outstanding. We have learned and achieved so much  and most important of all the children we have worked with in The FunkyKids Club Creative Workshop have thoroughly enjoyed been part of the experience. It is brilliant when we have seen some of the weaker children that was in our club go on to achieve so much personally at the end of the 10 weeks. We now have our own portable stage and a full lighting and sound system. This will add to the children's performances and helps with the overall experience of the children performing on stage. We also have purchased some more recent art and craft tools along with percussion and musical instruments for the children to use in our workshops. These will all be introduced to our workshops in the coming months and will help the children in exploring their imagination greatly. We are constantly looking for other and fun ways for the children to learn.

    • DEC '07 -  We are delighted with the success of The FunkyKids Club Creative Workshop. We are constantly learning and improving our teaching techniques. The comments we have received from Teachers, Parents and the Children from these workshops show us that we are keeping our high standard of enjoyment, excitement and learning with the children consistent and for that reason we know we are achieving our goal with the FunkyKids Club Creative Workshop. We look forward to starting our new workshops in January '08 where we will do it all over again.
